David was lying on some form of cushion set in the ground which kind of reminded him of the blow up castles of his childhood. "When am I, anyways?" David said to himself, getting up and looking around. There were buildings made of cloth boxes that babies and toddlers would have while growing up, and the fact that MetalKoromon, or Chrome as David called him, hasn't said a word ever since they both met, would mean that this is a starting place of some kind.
"Hey, Chrome, let's have a look around." David said, Bending down and holding his arms out. Chrome leapt into his arms and they began to walk to what David suspected was the centre of the town. While walking, David noticed more creatures around, they seemed to be all swans.
"Huh..." David said, looking around. One of the swans looked up and saw David, and dropped her broom.
"MetalKoromon! What are you doing with a human!" it said, rushing towards the duo, more concerned than angry.
"I'm fine, Swanmon!" Chrome said. "This is David, my Tamer!"
Both Swanmon and David looked confused. "Tamer?" They both asked, David being the clueless one.
"Yeah, look at his arm." Chrome said, leaping onto David's head and sitting there, David raised his arm, and Swanmon began checking the device.
"Well, there's no mistaking that it's a Digivice, but..." Swanmon seemed a little concerned.
"Come with me, you two." She said, beckoning to David to follow her. David followed, hoping to get answers.
"By the way, where am I?" David asked.
"You're in Primary Village, otherwise known as the Village of Beginnings, you are currently in the Digital World." Swanmon said, not looking back. They reached a small building, and saw what seemed to be a large biped lion.
"Hmm? A human?" The being said.
"Yes, Lord Leomon." Swanmon said, nervous.
"What could a Human be doing here?"
"I could use some answers, too. One moment, I was in my room, the next, I was here, falling through the sky." David said.
"Indeed, that's normally how it goes, but the problem is, Humans that are partnered with Digimon are only ever seen in the Digital World when it is in mortal peril." Leomon explained. "Normally on the verge of utter destruction. Yet..." Leomon looked thoughtful. "There have been no extreme reports of disaster anywhere in the Digital World, so it's rare to see a Human with a Digimon Partner in a time of peace."
"Could it be that I would need longer than most to prepare for catastrophe?" David suggested.
"Perhaps..." Leomon said, looking into David's eyes for a couple of moments. "From what I can tell, you wouldn't be one to cause trouble at all."
"Mm. Trouble is just annoying to deal with, so it's best to not take part in trouble making." David said. Leomon nodded a couple times, amused.
"You certainly do seem like a good person. If what you're proposing is true, then you need to train extensively, and I will oversee that." Leomon said, standing up. From what David could tell, Leomon was a good 8 feet tall. "It would be best to do this in the outskirts, as to not frighten the children."
"Yeah, that sounds good." David said.

The three were out in the outskirts, and Leomon stood opposite of David and Chrome.
"To live in the Digital World, you must become strong, and bond with your partner." Leomon said. "You will continue to train here until you manage to beat me."
"Sounds like a good proposal." David said.
"However, with Chrome in this state, you will hardly be able to beat me, as a MetalKoromon's attack is purely for a defensive retreat. Therefore, your first task is to train with your partner, bond with them, until Chrome is up to his Rookie Level." Leomon explained. "You can stay here for as long as you need."
"Wait, I have to be at University in two weeks! How am I supposed to do this and go there at the same time?!" David said, only just realizing that he had important stuff to do.
"Time passes far more quickly in the Digital World than the Human world. One day in the Human World is the equivalent of around three months here." Leomon said, laughing. "So don't worry, you'll still get to go to the Human World and attend University." Leomon beckoned to David and Chrome. They followed.
"Where are we going, Leomon?" David asked.
"To your temporary living space. You'll be here a while, and I doubt that you'll want to sleep on the ground." Leomon replied.
"I dunno, the ground here is pretty comfortable." David said.
"Perhaps, but it does rain here." Leomon replied with a smirk. The small group made it to a pair of double doors. "Now, place your hand here." Leomon said, indicating to a small square on the door. David walked up and pressed his open hand on the square, and some quiet shuffling sounds could be heard behind the door. David looked at Leomon quizzically, but Leomon simply motioned to open the door. Once David opened the door, he was gobsmacked. It was his room. The same room he was in not too long ago!
"How..?" David said, looking to Leomon.
"This room changes based on the user's most comfortable setting, and adds a few things, as well." Leomon said, indicating to an out of place panel on the wall. David walked up to it, and read the labels under each button. "Kitchen... Training Area... Bathroom... Garden... Hotspring?" David was confused. "What's with these buttons, Leomon?"
"The panel opens up a new door which leads to the areas listed on the panel. The Garden Area holds all of the fresh ingredients you would need, the Training Area is just that, a training area. The bathroom is exactly what it is, same with the kitchen. And the Hotspring is for later, when you and Chrome need to relax. The Hotspring also aids in the restoration of wounds." Leomon explained.
"Ah, so there's a recovery factor, too." David said, noticing another button without a label. "What's this one..?" David said, acting on impulse and about to push it. Leomon grabbed his shoulder firmly yet gently, and pulled him away from the panel. "You don't want to know." Leomon said ominously.
"Anyway" Leomon said, shying away from the subject. "This is where you'll stay until you manage to beat me, and are ready to move on."

For days, nothing had happened in terms of progress. David and Chrome trained, until Chrome Digivolved to Kapurimon.
"Wow, so that's your next form?" David said, scanning through the data inflow from the Digivolution. "One attack, Howling Blow, huh?" David said, turning to the panel and pushing the Training Area button. "Let's test it out."
Once inside the area, a screen appeared with a prompt: "IN-TRAINING OPTION UNLOCKED. BEGIN TRAINING?" David pressed the 'Yes' option, and a hologram arena appeared with a Koromon Hologram. (I request that you moderate this HoloKoromon, Vehk.)

As David and Leomon were entering the peculiar residence... Unit 375-A97: [Uploading Multimedia File - Priority Level 10 [REF: Code A-0]] Operator: Unit, proceed to an open, high altitude location for transmission. Your data stream does not reach the Priority Level 10 threshold. Continue transmitting and be prepared to re-send files should the stream become corrupted. Ensure that you are prepared to establish a secure P-E-Mov device should your submission be recognized as valid. Unit 375-A97: ACKNOWLEDGED. PROCEEDING TO CLOSEST DESIGNATED TRANSMISSION POINT. A MetalKoromon that had been watching Leomon and David from afar prior to them entering the building moved away, heading for the nearest hill.
The HoloKoromon inside the hologram arena shuffled around, trying to examine Kapurimon's movements and look for a chance to strike his weak spots.

"Let's go, Chrome!" David said, raising his Digivice-clad arm with the back of the hand presented forward.
Chrome dashed forward, horns first, in a headbutt. "Howling Blow!" He shouted.

The Holo Koromon was temporarily neutralized by the attack, recovering more quickly than normal due to its artificial nature and slamming its whole body into Chrome. Though Chrome was able to resist the attack easily due to his armored body, the Holo Koromon took the opportunity to grab hold of Chrome's tail in his teeth while the young Digimon was recovering from being stunned.

Chrome took this chance to use his weight to his advantage, and jumped, then fell towards the HoloKoromon horns first. "Howling Blow!"

The Holo Koromon put all of his strength into swinging Chrome away as Chrome jumped into the air, hurling him to the outer edge of the arena before his horns could connect and before his attack could prevent him from taking such an action. Though the Holo Koromon was momentarily stunned by the attack, he recovered before Chrome could even land back down. The Holo Koromon charged Chrome, intent on dealing a finishing blow while his opponent remained stunned and incapable of guarding against it.

David decided to step in and help Chrome out. He ran towards Chrome, and managed to get there faster than the Holo Koromon, picking up Chrome and taking him to the other side of the arena.
"David..." Chrome said.
"It's okay, we're in this together. You ready?" David asked.
"Mm." Chrome said. "Throw me!" David did that, and aimed at the Holo Koromon. "Howling Cannon Blow!" The two yelled, David threw Chrome hard, and Chrome used his Howling Blow to stun the Holo Koromon, before flying towards it.

The Holo Koromon was rendered incapable of movement, being totally helpless before David and Chrome's combined assault. It was unsure if it could resist such an attack, but it tried bracing itself nonetheless.

Chrome headbutted the Holo Koromon with the force of David's throw.

The Holo Koromon dissipated, having been destabilized by the force of the attack.
Elsewhere in the Digital World... The MetalKoromon that had been observing David, Chrome, and Leomon waited at the top of the hill nearest to the Primary Village. After a few moments, it regressed into a cloud of data and flew in the direction of the Primary Village, where it would return to being a Digi-Egg. A chunk of data split off from the cloud, landing at the top of the hill and taking the form of a small CRT television.
Unit 375-A97: [File Transmission Complete - Integrity at 100%] [P-E-Mov Established]
Operator: Excellent work. Return to the Primary Village and spread the R-Code to more Digi-Eggs. Your alert code has been approved and I will dispatch a team to deal with the situation.
Unit 375-A97: ACKNOWLEDGED.

"All right!" David cheered. "We managed it somehow!" Chrome bounced over to David, and Sat on his head, exhausted. Chrome's stomach began to growl.
"I'm hungry..." Chrome said.
"Okay, let's go eat." David replied, walking out of the Arena, and back into his room. He pressed the Kitchen Button and went through the door. David grabbed all the cooking utensils he needed, and quickly made some omelets with bacon, salt and garlic powder. "Delicious!" The two partners yelled, feasting on their meal.

On top of the hill adjacent to Primary Village... A lone Troopmon emerged from the CRT TV that MetalKoromon's data had mutated into. It looked around before making its way toward where Chrome and David were residing, hiding to avoid being detected by the overseers of the village. Within a few minutes it had arrived at Primary Village, being completely undetected and heading to the structure where David was located.

After The meal, the two decided to head into the Hotspring and recover. "Whoops, gotta lock the door." David said. There was once an awkward incident in the past few days where one of the Swanmon overseers accidently walked in on David while he was changing. David and Chrome then entered the Hotspring.
"Whew. That was kinda rough." Chrome said.
"Yeah. Glad we got through it, though." David replied. "I wonder if anyone has noticed where I went..?"
